Intra Gastric Balloon

An intragastric balloon (IGB) is a non-surgical weight loss procedure in which a soft silicone balloon is placed inside the stomach to reduce its capacity and help the patient feel full after eating small amounts of food.

It help obese patients lose weight without the need for surgery.

It is implantred in stomach by Endoscopy with help of camera as outpatient procedure while the patient is under mild sedation for 30 minutes.

Once inserted , the balloon device is filled with sterile saline water. The balloon partially fills the stomach to provide a feeling of satiety.

Balloon is removed at six months to 1 year.

Patients remain in a structured dietary schedule to maintain weight loss.
